01. Functional Capacity Screen Work Evaluation (FCSWE)
1-Day Evaluation. Full Clarity.
This premium evaluation focuses on visual, vestibular, and cognitive difficulties related to screen use. Ideal for clients with concussion, migraine, or sensory intolerance, this assessment integrates functional testing and real-world simulations to determine work capacity and digital tolerance.
Who is it for? Clients struggling to perform screen-based work due to visual/cognitive symptoms.
What does it assess? Visual processing, vestibular stability, functional cognition, screen tolerance, and physical capacity. Optional Day 2 physical FCE available.
Report/opinion: A comprehensive medico-legal report providing clear work capacity findings and Cost of Future Care recommendations.


02. Cognitive FCE (CogFCE)
2-day in-clinic assessment, report and expert opinion outlining physical and cognitive limitations and ability to work, job match and competitive employability.
Who is it for? This evaluation is intended for a client that has had a concussion (mild traumatic brain injury), and for clients with concurrent mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, somatic symptom disorder.
What does it assess? Functional cognition and physical capacity to determine the feasibility and capacity for pre-injury job title or return to employment if not job attached. The evaluation and report can help with treatment planning and outlining the need for specific accommodations.
Report/opinion: The report will identify the client’s capacity to return to their pre-injury job/occupation from physical and cognitive perspectives, capacity for schooling/retraining, and feasibility for employment.
TIP TO CONSIDER: Cognitive issues are commonly misdiagnosed or undiagnosed when an individual has a mental health condition or chronic pain issues. Having this specialized evaluation in your toolbox can help objectively quantify the extent of their physical and cognitive difficulties as it pertains to work capacity and everyday functioning.
03. PsychoEmotional Cognitive FCE
(PEC FCE)
For clients with long-term disability, trauma, or emotional-cognitive barriers to return to work
Who is it for? Clients who have not returned to work—often for several years—due to complex mental health, cognitive, and physical conditions.
Common diagnoses include PTSD, depression, anxiety, somatic symptom disorder, concussion, and chronic pain.
What makes this evaluation different? This is a 2–3 day, trauma-informed assessment that evaluates:

04. Vocational Assessment
One Assessment. Work Potential Defined.
This focused evaluation examines a client’s education, work history, transferable skills, and labour market options to determine realistic employment capacity. Ideal for clients whose employability is unclear or contested, it integrates file review, interview data, and labour market research to provide a clear opinion on vocational potential.
Who is it for? Clients with disrupted work histories, unclear return-to-work paths, or cases involving loss of earning capacity.
What does it assess? Education, training, work history, transferable skills, job matching, and future earning potential — all within the context of functional and medical limitations.
Report/Opinion: A detailed report offering insight into vocational suitability, retraining potential, and long-term employability — often used to support settlement value and guide return-to-work planning.
05. Traditional FCE
8 hour in-clinic assessment, report and expert opinion outlining physical limitations, strengths and ability to work, job match, and competitive employability.
Who is it for? For a client that has an orthopedic, or soft
tissue injury. They may also have secondary conditions such as chronic pain, and mental health conditions. The focus of
the evaluation is primarily on the physical limitations.
What does it assess? Physical capacity to determine job match, the feasibility and capacity for return to employment and opinion regarding competitive employment. Capacity
for full-time or part-time employment.
Report/opinion: The report will identify the client’s capacity
to return to their pre-injury job/occupation, need for accommodations, and durability of employment.


06. Cost of Future Care Analysis (CFC)
5-hour in-home assessment of the person’s capacity to complete household, childcare, yard work, and related tasks. Expert opinion and report delineates recommendations and costs for present and future care needs. This evaluation is especially favoured by the courts to substantiate housekeeping loss of capacity.
Who is it for? This evaluation is intended for a client that has sustained enduring physical, cognitive, emotional limitations following injury.
What does it assess? The in-home evaluation evaluates the client’s capacity for housework, yardwork (if applicable), related home maintenance tasks, and childcare (if applicable) to determine the need for services, equipment and supplies following a serious injury.
Report/opinion: The report will identify the client’s need for short-term and long-term services, equipment and supplies to restore their level of functioning but for the accident. The report includes costing to help determine the future care costs.

Book six months to one year in advance to ensure the evaluation and opinion is current and reflective of the person’s capacity and future care needs leading up to trial.
3. Receive the expert report.
Determine your next steps, share the report with other experts and economist as necessary.
4. Successful file resolution and clarity.
Obtaining the expert report will often result in a prompt settlement and avoid having to go to trial. Alternatively, if trial is necessary, you will have objective evidence necessary.
